Lala Villa (2Br)

The two-bedroom Villa Lala, is stylish and refreshingly different, presenting contemporary-colonial architecture and a cool white décor. Located in a peaceful oasis in the heart of Seminyak’s ‘Golden Triangle’ just 400 metres from the beach, this delightful villa comprises two buildings linked by a wrap-around verandah that flows into a large open-sided living and dining pavilion, complete with designer kitchen, and two bedrooms positioned on ground level beside the pool deck. Inside is a pretty walled garden, with a swimming pool and a large ‘bale’ relaxation pavilion, bordered by the villa on two sides.

Living & Dining Pavilion
The generously-sized, semi open-air living and dining area is cooled by ceiling fans and characterised by a soaring roof lined with white painted wood. Two planter style white rattan sofas and a chair, cushioned in white with a scattering of blue, provide a comfortable place for enjoying the 42-inch satellite channel TV, complete with DVD player, Bose Companion 3 multimedia speaker system, and Apple Universal dock. A dining table for eight with cushioned chairs is positioned close to the kitchen, together with an antique serving table.

Kitchen
The stylish open plan kitchen – conveniently linked to the dining area by a wide service bar, and to the veranda by a hatch – embraces crisp clean linear forms with white walls, white louvre cabinets and polished black granite work surfaces. It is fully equipped with an oven, -burner gas hob, microwave and other imported appliances. There is also a large two-door fridge and a good selection of utensils and quality tableware.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms
There are two air-conditioned bedrooms at Villa Lala; positioned side by side at ground level. Each is accessed by sliding glass doors that open to the poolside terrace. Each bathroom features a Palimanan stone floor extending into an open courtyard planted with heliconias and fan leaf palms, and bordered by high walls for privacy. Each is fitted with twin washbasins resting upon a lime-washed teak vanity unit, a standing monsoon shower, and a toilet. One bathroom has the additional luxury of a bathtub, crafted in cream terrazzo and sitting within the pebble floored garden courtyard open to the sky.

Garden & Pool
The walled garden, with its neat flat lawn, is focused around the swimming pool with a cascading wall of water at one end. Traditional wooden sculptures from the eastern isles, a pink flowering butterfly tree, heliconia, and traveller’s palms all line the garden wall, while two royal palms stand proud on the lawn. Beside the pool is a king size ‘bale’ relaxation pavilion fitted with a deep day mattress and cushions. The pool deck is furnished with all-weather sunloungers.

Services

Villa Lala is supported by a carefully selected team of highly trained staff who will do their best to ensure that their guests experience a truly enjoyable stay in Bali. The team includes personal butlers, housekeepers, a gardener and 24-hour security guards. Baby-sitting and massage services, together with the facilities of a car, a driver, a tour guide and extra staff are also available on request. The villa can be rented on a self catering basis, or the services of an excellent chef can be arranged either on a full time basis or for specific meals with 24 hours notice. Airport transfers are complimentary.
