Of course you have met people coming back from a holiday on Bali, the Island of the Gods, as they call it. And maybe you were tempted to go there yourself one time. However, there might have always been something that stopped you, such as the long journey, the costs or an aversion to stay in a hotel.
* the long trip is a fact, no objections can be offered to that
* the costs, however, except for the flight fare, are not high at all. On the contrary. The cost of living on Bali is a fraction of the cost of living in say Europe. To give an example, if a dinner in a restaurant costs you € 6, you will consider that evening as an expensive one. Usually it costs you (true, in a small warung) € 2, including a glass of warm tea
* and to your aversion to stay in a hotel during your holidays we have the perfect solution: our Bungalow “Ops Villa”.
Bungalow “Ops Villa” is not only suitable for a few persons, but because of the number of bedrooms (4) and bathrooms (3) also for a larger group of people. To keep things manageable for our staff, however, we have limited the number of guests to a maximum of six. The level of the rent will be determined in accordance to the number of guests staying in the bungalow (see also under Rates).
Accomodation
What to expect? Except for the four bedrooms and three bathrooms mentioned before, a large kitchen, a living- and dining area with satellite TV and DVD/CD-player, a garage, a spacious porch bordered on a beautiful garden with plunge pool and bale bengong. Linen as well as (tea) towels are available and don’t have to be brought along with you.
Three bedrooms are equipped with A/C, one with a ceiling fan. The living area is equipped with two ceiling fans, the kitchen with one. In the dining area a fan has been attached to the wall, while a loose fan is available which can be positioned where you like.
Three bedrooms have their own toilet and shower. All bathrooms have a boiler for hot water. In principle these boilers are switched off. Thus, if you want to take a hot shower it is wise to switch the boiler on some time before. After use you are requested to switch the boiler off again (see also Miscellaneous).
The (private) plunge pool has been put into use in May 2007 and has a large sundeck with three lounge-chairs and an umbrella. In the evening the illumination inside the pool produces a fascinating view.
The bale bengong has been finished in June 2007. It is there for those who need to retire for a moment and to dream about anything which comes up. The bale too can be illuminated.
